Regina Park

"It's a place where every home is a mansion. Three thousand square-foot plus villas. Two car garages. French doors opening into three story atrium spaces lit with cupolas. Stairways winding up a series of levels; hanging gardens climbing to master bedroom suites with cathedral ceilings . Porches fronting quiet streets inviting friendly interludes in an atmosphere Queen Anne sweetness and light.
The units are organized vertically along traditional townhome urbanistic principles.

"Just before dawn" & "Waterbearer"
"Just before dawn" is inspired by the Alhambra Palace in Spain, but it isn't meant to be a literal representation of the building. One sees similar windows at the Porta Agusta at Perugia Italy. Or perhaps in an Ursula K. Leguin Novel such as "The Left hand of Darkness".Available as signed monoprints on either canvas or watercolor paper (I recommend the watercolor paper) The work was concieved as a homage to the survivors of the middle crossing, sort of a symbol of the spirit of anyone who could endure such a trial, yet in evolved after that as a symbolic image of a sea goddess or an angel pouring life into the oceans-the colorful creatures pouring from the urn are simple geometric icons taken from bronze age pictographs. Entering our world they are transformed into living things. Eight (the number of good fortune in Chinese mythology) dolphins leap behind her in the sunlit ocean. Her headress is of white roses, a symbol of the holy spirit.
Detail from "Down by the sea", a related work.
Wintergarden

Cutaway of a mixed use Retail/Housing/Theatre Complex. Under glass would be a series of tropical gardens and koi ponds for the public retail spaces. The buildings were concieved to echo the massing of historical buildings in the area -the tower mirroring the scale of new buildings close by, thus the two scales have merged and the urban fabric is healed with a hybrid form that restores the interconnectedness of the urban space.

Existing 19th century building adjacent would be connected by sky bridges with infill development in all vacant lots recreating the street scape.
